Treat us like humans

This report summarise the outcomes of workshops we held with children in residential care. These outcomes informed our report, ‘Too Little, Too Late’.

We are sincerely grateful for the children’s honest views and insights, and to Life Without Barriers for partnering with us to host the workshops.

We hosted three workshops in Brisbane, Toowoomba and Mackay with young people who are currently living in or recently transitioned from residential care. The workshops were open to young people aged 14-24 years. The intention of these workshops was to provide a space for young people to share their ideas about the improvements needed for the residential care system.
