Amplify Youth

A platform for Queensland young people to share their thoughts, views and experiences to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Apply to be a speaker at the QFCC Youth Summit - submissions NOW OPEN!


Don’t worry, you don’t need a fully written speech just yet. 

To apply, submit a 2-3 minute video explaining who you are, and what you would talk about, touching on the key topics and specific messages that you want people to know about.

From here, all submissions will be judged by a panel and the chosen speakers will be announced. 

Entries close 12 March 2024

The Youth Summit event will be held in Brisbane on 10 and 11 April. Those chosen to speak will have a 5-10 minute time slot to present your thoughts, views and experiences directly to decision makers and other young people.

- How you know you are important and feel valued?
- What makes you feel safe with your family and community?

Material basics to meet your needs

- Financial stability
- How secure and stable is your housing?
- What is your access to food, suitable and safe technology, transport and personal items?


- Young people and families are healthy
- Are babies having the best start to life?
- Are parents and carer supported to look after their health?
- What is your physical health like?
- What is your mental health like?
- What support do you have and/or need?

Engaged in Education

- How much does your family engage in your learning?
- What do you think about early childhood education and kids being ready to start school?
- Are young people succeeding at school?
- What do you think about young people successfully completing school?
- What do you think about further education and training?


- What is your community like for children and young people?
- What do children and young people enjoy in their recreational and leisure time?
- What do you think about children and young people contributing to and participating in your community?

Identity and Culture

- What do you think about expressing your identity and culture?
- Do you feel safe and supported in expressing your identity and culture?
