Voices of Hope: Growing Up in Queensland 2020 Launch Event

We launched the Voices of Hope: Growing Up in Queensland 2020 report in late April 2021.

We released the biennial survey data, comprising of responses from approximately 8,000 young Queenslanders from diverse backgrounds, aged between 4-18 years (surveys varied based on age).

Held at the State Library of Queensland, the launch event of the report was attended by the Hon. Leanne Linard, Commissioner Natalie Lewis, and other distinguished guests and stakeholders of young peoples' wellbeing in the state.

Along with the presentation of the findings of the report, guest speakers, performers and QFCC Youth Advisory Council members also attended the event, echoing the importance of the responses given by survey participants.

The launch of the data is purposed to capture the perspectives of young people during this time, for better public information and for parents, educators, guardians, industry and Government Departments to guide social and economic decision-making for young people, for now and for the future.

If you’d like to find out more about the project or how the findings can inform your work, email growingupQLD@qfcc.qld.gov.au or phone (07) 3900 6000.
