Talking Families

Talking Families is a community education campaign to support kids, families and communities to find the right information at the right time to help reduce the pressures on families. Talking Families also aims to demystify the child and family support sector.

The Talking Families campaign is part of a public communication strategy which uses a community social marketing approach to advocate to families and communities the shared responsibility for protecting and caring for Queensland’s children. The objectives of the campaign include:

  • Provide information to the public about the role of the child protection system and the primary responsibility of parents and families to care for and protect children
  • Provide information about where to access support services
  • Encourage parents and caregivers to access help.
