You’re a primary school physical education teacher and coach the under 10’s interschool sports football team.
You’ve noticed a young boy in your team, Eddie, becoming increasingly moody and quiet. Normally he’d run around with his mates before training. In the past two weeks, he’s been sitting on his own and is telling his friends to “go away” and is picking fights with them.
Eddie also seems very tired and lacking in energy, not wanting to run with his team. He is taking more rest breaks.
He has started wearing jumpers and long pants on warm days and refuses to get changed when he shows signs of being overheated. He tells you he’s not allowed to take the long clothes off. After you insist, Eddie reluctantly removes his jumper revealing bruises on his upper arm. You now also notice Eddie has a bruise on his cheek you had earlier thought was dirt.
