Research in the Round forums

The QFCC hosts bi-annual Research in the Round forums to showcase the work of key Australian researchers who focus on vulnerable children and families.

We have a lead role in translating research to assist policy makers and child protection practitioners. At the forums, researchers present to an invited audience of key policy makers, practitioners, researchers and other stakeholders working in the area. This is followed by a facilitated panel discussion, and time for networking.

Attendees at the inaugural event completed a survey providing event feedback. Attendees predominantly came from state government (60%), universities (20%) and NGOs (17%). Overall the forum was rated extremely positively.

  • Overall rating of good or excellent 83%

  • Met expectations 83%
