As part of our work to improve the child and family support system, we are responsible for:

  • identifying areas of research and making research findings more accessible to help inform policy and practice
  • providing leadership and expert advice about laws, polices, practices and services 
  • advocating for the safety and wellbeing of children across Queensland. 

Research is an important part of the work we do. We produce regular research scans and summaries, which are published on this website.

We work with government and non-government organisations to make recommendations about laws, policies, practices and services concerning the wellbeing of Queensland children and young people.
