Promoting careers in the sector

The people who work with, and for, vulnerable Queenslanders play an important role in improving outcomes for children and families.

They’re also a big part of growing the child and family support sector and making it the best it can be.

We need to make sure we have the right mix of people – with the right skills, knowledge, abilities and attributes – so that whenever and wherever families go for help, they’re consistently provided with the best service possible.

We need to make sure our sector workforce reflects, understands and appreciates the communities it serves.

The QFCC is developing a career promotion strategy aiming to attract Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as young people with a lived experience of out-of-home care, to work in the child and family support sector. Read more about our career promotion project.
