The Street University unleashes creativity at the QFCC

news

Recording studio sessions, break dancing workshops, street art workshops – The Street University unleashes creativity! And the work the students deliver is phenomenal.

Young people from The Street University have worked with us to deliver some great initiatives.

Developed graffiti artwork for our office

They developed graffiti artwork (supported by 2 well-known Australian street artists) for our office and project managed the job from start to finish. Check out some of the great artwork including:

  • a large canvas displayed in the collaboration space
  • a welcome sign for the reception area
  • artwork for Assistant Commissioner’s doors.

The work has provided great connection to the needs of young people and visitors are wowed.

Online needs of young people – QFCC DarkNet program

The young people from The Street University supported the development of the QFCC DarkNet program. They participated in a design jam which helped us to better understand the needs of young people online.

Minimum Age of Criminal Responsibility paper

Also, they joined in workshops that supported the Minimum Age of Criminal Responsibility paper (MACR) developed by our Policy and Community Resources team.
