The Young, Black and Proud 2019 scholarship program is now open! These nominations are for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people under the age of 25 to apply for one of the many scholarships for those wanting to get further in sport, the arts or achieving academically, either at school, TAFE or University.
In 2018, the Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) was proud to partner with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (ATSICHS) to deliver the program as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the lives of young people in Queensland.
The QFCC is again partnering with ATSICHS to deliver this state-wide program, celebrating the talents and strengths of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people who exhibit outstanding promise – but who may lack the support and resources to fulfil their potential.
No doubt the 2019 nominees will again be a strong talent pool with many success stories to share.
Visit the ATSICHS Brisbane website for more information on the nomination process.
