Mind the gap: NDIS & psychosocial disability: The Victorian story: Insights and policy recommendations from expert stakeholders

This policy report interviewed expert stakeholders about the gaps in service provision under the NDIS and proposed  policy solutions to address these identified gaps. This report finds that only around 10% of Victorians living with severe mental illness are expected to be eligible for the NDIS. This is problematic as critical community mental health services which support all Victorians living with severe mental illness, are being decommissioned to fund the NDIS. The report provides a prioritised list of relevant policy solutions identified by the expert stakeholders which will address identified gaps, and if acted upon, enhance the NDIS and the broader mental health system for people living with psychosocial disability in Victoria.
