Homelessness and other negative outcomes experienced by young people transitioning from out-of-home care (OOHC)

This paper highlights key recent Australian research which has explored the extent to which young people leaving out-of-home care (OOHC) experience homelessness and other negative outcomes including school failure and unemployment. It demonstrates that young people who have had prior contact with the child protection system and who have also had experiences of homelessness are particularly vulnerable.
