Four lessons from 11 years of Closing the Gap reports

This article discusses what has been learned from efforts to address 'Closing the Gap' over the past 11 years. First, that some targets are easier to achieve than others. Second, the life-expectancy measure is unpredictable as it is difficult to reliably measure. Third, there are problems with the yearly reporting cycle, as one year measures may be on track for meeting the target, then be 'not on track' the next year.
