Attitudes towards violence against women and gender equality among Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders: Findings from the 2017 National Community Attitudes towards Violence against Women Survey (NCAS)

This report presents the results from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants in the 2017 NCAS which involved a telephone survey of a representative sample of 17,500 Australians aged 16 years and over, questioning participants about their knowledge of violence against women; attitudes towards this violence and gender equality; and intentions if they were to witness abuse or disrespect towards women.
