Association of early-life exposure to income inequality with bullying in adolescence in 40 countries

This research investigated if exposure to income inequality in infancy and early childhood was associated with later involvement in bullying among adolescents. The study found that growing up in areas of income inequality was associated with being bullied after inequality and wealth in the intervening years were controlled for. The authors concluded that socioeconomic inequality in early life may shape developmental processes that put adolescents at risk of being bullied.
